Housing demand is expected to increase in the future with the resumption of foreigners returning to Singapore, according to analysts. However, macroeconomic factors such as rising inflation could create challenges for the market. The Ministry of Finance has recently introduced an Additional Buyer’s Stamp Duty (ABSD) of 35% on any residential transfer to a living trust, starting from May 9th, 2022.
